It’s hard to keep track of everything happening around SXSW. Between the official, unofficial, pop-up, secret and so-secret they might not actually exist events, how do you navigate the chaos?

Enter Wanderless.

An eventcasting site created by Anthony DeGennaro and GSD&Mers Alex Roka and Joel Parr. Their site launched back in November to provide an event calendar for the people of Austin that was presented in a smart and well-filtered way. While the site does a great job for locals year-round, the site becomes particularly useful during SXSW.

They’ve created a special section dedicated to SXSW, sorting events by top events, music, film, interactive and arts & culture, the site is our go-to resource for finding out the places to be and how to RSVP.

So what are we most excited about this year? Here’s a few in each category:

#FEED, March 8-12

This 5-night, 4-day event is held at the Austin Museum of Art and features great panels during the day and even better DJs at night.

Fullscreen @ SXSW, March 9, 10 PM

Reggie Watts, who is also performing at our Industry Party, is teaming up with DJ Earworm for a rooftop concert for the Full Screen team, the global network for content creators and brands.

Southbites, March 8-16

The best food of Austin as curated by Top Chef winner Paul Qui will be located right at Rainey Street and Driskill near the convention center.

Waterloo Records Day Party, March 13-16

Our neighbors at Waterloo know how to bring in the bands. This four day line up features everyone from Macklemore & Ryan Lewis to Emmylou Harris (that’s the whole musical spectrum, right?). Free shows, no RSVP needed.

Daniel Johnston: Here, March 14-17

Co-founder of SXSW Louis Black will unveil a photogallery dedicated to Austin artist Daniel Johnston at Okay Mountain.

Mohawk Day Party, March 15

The Windish Agency and Vans are taking over the Mohawk for the day with performances by alt-j, Icona Pop, Toro y Moi and more.

SXSW @ Auditorium Shores, March 15

The biggest show of SXSW with the best backdrop of our city skyline features The Flaming Lips, Jim James (of My Morning Jacket) and Divine Fits. Open to the public, no RSVP needed.
