~ Marianne Malina named President, Jay Russell named ECD, Jeanne Crockett named SVP, Operations and Betty Pat McCoy and Carmen Graf to head media department ~
AUSTIN, Texas — May 16, 2012 — GSD&M today announced expanded leadership roles for Marianne Malina, Jay Russell, Betty Pay McCoy, Carmen Graf and Jeanne Crockett. All five agency veterans will use their vast experience to contribute to the agency’s leadership team.
Marianne Malina has been named President and will assist CEO Duff Stewart with day-to-day business and the agency’s new business efforts. Malina joined GSD&M thirteen years ago and has served as executive vice president, SVP/group account director and VP/creative managing director. Her experience overseeing creative operations, multiple accounts and her leadership abilities will help the agency to continue to grow and be successful.
Jay Russell has been named the agency’s Executive Creative Director and will serve as the champion and representative of the agency’s creative, integrated production and studio services departments. Russell rejoined the agency in early April after serving as a creative director at Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Boulder. Previously at GSD&M Russell led the global creative on the BMW business.
Carmen Graf will serve as SVP/ Director of Planning and Consumer Connections where she will lead the agency’s planning group. In her 18 years at the agency, Graf has built a reputation for strategic media placements that enhance creative executions. Her expertise in consumer connections bridges creative ideas with media and strategy in developing efficient and effective consumer connections.
Betty Pat McCoy has been named SVP/Director of Media Investment. In this new role, McCoy will oversee the agency’s Investment Group which consists of local and national media buying. In her 17 years at GSD&M, McCoy has served as SVP/ national buying and managing director of GSD&M/Chicago and continues to provide strategic guidance on all agency accounts, integrating them into emerging media content.
Jeanne Crockett is now SVP/Operations and will focus on operations and resources across the agency. Crockett has been with the agency since 2006 and in this time she has served as SVP/account service and digital strategy, and vice president of digital strategy. With a strong agency operational sense, Crockett will be responsible for broadening the agency’s cross-functional systems and performance.
