~ Sean LaBounty and Hayden Gilbert to partner on Walgreens account ~
AUSTIN, Texas — July 26, 2012 — GSD&M announced today Sean LaBounty and Hayden Gilbert will join the agency as creative directors to partner on the agency’s newly acquired Walgreens account.
Sean LaBounty comes to GSD&M from DDB, where he was a freelance creative director and worked on clients such as Lotto, Powerball and Hertz. Prior to that, LaBounty was a creative director for three years at Young & Rubicam under Scott Vitrone and Ian Reichenthal. There, he worked on brands including LG, Tiger Beer, Dell, Bacardi and Office Depot. He gained additional agency experience at Wieden+Kennedy NY, Cliff Freeman, Leo Burnett NY and TBWA\Chiat\Day, among others. LaBounty graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and later went on to receive a film degree from New York University. In his spare time, LaBounty paints and screen-prints, as well as cultivates his own fashion label “LaB LaBs.”
Hayden Gilbert, an Austin native, comes to GSD&M from The Richards Group, where he helped build brands such as RAM Trucks and Russell Athletic. At TM Advertising, Gilbert worked as associate creative director on American Airlines, Nationwide Insurance and the Dallas Film Society. His other experience includes a stint on the West Coast at MeringCarson and in the Midwest at Barkley, where he was senior writer on the long-standing SONIC America’s Drive-In campaign. His work has been featured in Communication Arts’ advertising annual, The One Show, Lüerzer’s Archive, Cannes and the Emmys. Gilbert graduated with a degree in advertising from the University of Texas at Austin.
