So if all flu shots are exactly the same, how do we get people to choose to get their flu shots at Walgreens? We started by partnering with the UN Foundation to create the industry-changing “Get a shot. Give a shot.” program. When you get your flu shot at Walgreens, we donate a lifesaving vaccine to a child in a developing country.

We got the word out via a multi-platform campaign centered around our iconic red bandage and a unique social/outdoor integration that encouraged our customers to spread the word by taking a pledge to give a kid a shot at life.

We even went to Tanzania to document the difference our customers were making just by getting their flu shot at Walgreens.
