GSD&M Wins 4A’s Jay Chiat Agency of the Year
Creatively driven, full-service advertising agency GSD&M was named the 2024 Jay Chiat Agency of the Year during the 4A’s annual StratFest conference in New York City on September 30, 2024.
The Jay Chiat Awards, named after the legendary advertising professional, celebrate work that demonstrates breakthrough thinking and strategic impact. This year, GSD&M stood out for its ability to deliver campaigns with deep strategic insights that produced tangible results for brands across multiple categories.
“Two years ago, we set a clear goal to be the best strategy group in the industry, and this recognition is major proof that we are hitting that goal,” noted Kate Rush Sheehy, SVP of strategy and insights at GSD&M. “The focus of this year’s Jay Chiat Awards was work that not only showcased strong strategic insights directly tied to the creative idea, but also delivered measurable results. Being recognized across five categories and clients validates our efforts and the impact we have for the brands we partner with.”
In 2024, GSD&M developed standout work across multiple Jay Chiat categories, including the gold-winning campaign “The Question,” created in partnership with the Ad Council for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. This campaign, which won in the Nonprofit Strategy category, highlights the mental health struggles of veterans and the resources available to them. The agency also won three bronze awards in the categories of Gaming for Pizza Hut, PR Strategy for a collaboration between Fruit of the Loom and Southwest Airlines, and Brand Pivot for Stanley 1913, which also won a Silver Lion in Creative Strategy at Cannes in June. GSD&M received honorable mentions in the Experiential category for work with the United States Air Force and in Nonprofit Strategy for the organization Period Law.
Earlier this year, GSD&M’s media practice was also recognized by Campaign US as Media Team of the Year. The Jay Chiat Agency of the Year Award further underscores GSD&M’s commitment and industry-leading ability to bring bold strategies and ideas to life through its full-service offerings.
