AUSTIN, TX — August 13, 2014 — GSD&M announced today that Mark Durein has joined the agency as VP/account director on the agency’s newest client, Northwestern Mutual. In this role, Durein will lead all aspects of the brand’s creative, social and sponsorship efforts.

Durein’s previous experience includes 20 years in account leadership roles, the most recent of which was VP/group account director at T3. In that role, he launched updates, devices and platforms for Windows Phone, identified digital and mobile strategy opportunities for clients like UPS and Hotwire and contributed to the agency’s new business efforts. Prior to joining T3, Durein held positions at several agencies in San Francisco, including Young & Rubicam, Publicis & Hal Riney and Grey Worldwide.
