~ Robert Lin and Jeff Maki to oversee the Marshalls, Jarritos, Victoria and Pacifico accounts ~
AUSTIN, Texas — June 20, 2012 — GSD&M today announced it has promoted Robert Lin and Jeff Maki to Group Creative Director. In their new roles, they will oversee creative on the agency’s Marshalls, Jarritos, Victoria and Pacifico accounts.
“Robert and Jeff are two of the most inspiring, humble, and caring people I’ve worked with and truly represent the culture of our agency,” said Jay Russell, executive creative director at GSD&M. “I’m proud to promote them to group creative director and look forward to their contributions in building our clients’ brands and overseeing our creative department.”
Robert Lin came to GSD&M in 2005 as an associate creative director on the Chili’s Grill & Bar account. In his seven years at the agency, Lin has been a driving force on many notable campaigns for BMW, as well as work for Kohler and the recent launch of Jarritos Mexican soda to the U.S. Market. His other brand experience at GSD&M has included the U.S. Air Force, Southwest Airlines and YellowPages.com. Prior to GSD&M, Robert was a senior art director at The Richards Group where he created work for The Home Depot and Corona, among others.
Jeff Maki has been with the agency since 2005 after being hired as an associate creative director on the AT&T business. Since then, he has created award-winning work for Kohler, BMW and Legacy’s EX effort, among many others. Most recently, Maki led the charge of the launch of the notable Jarritos’ “We’re Not From Here” campaign to the general market. Prior to GSD&M, he held the position of copywriter at TBWA\Chiat\Day where he worked on the International Olympic Committee, Apple’s iTunes, EarthLink, Nissan, Infiniti and Sony PlayStation brands.
