New Work: Walgreens Holiday

This season, Walgreens and its advertising partner GSD&M, are rolling out a multi-media campaign to communicate itself as the holiday solution destination for endless list of gifts and entertaining needs. The work will also tout the retailer as the resource for helping its customers manage the holidays and maintain their health and well-being throughout the busy season.

To kick-off the holiday campaign, Walgreens rolled out an integrated communication platform to generate awareness for the release of the new magazine: Happy & Healthy, Your Guide to Living Well with Walgreens. This holiday issue includes content delivered in a unique format aligned to the Walgreens strategy to help people get, live and stay well. It will contain stories, product news and great deals relevant to shoppers in the busy holiday season. All things Happy & Healthy at Walgreens will come to life in this publication.

On December 2, additional marketing efforts launched and highlight the breadth of gift-giving solutions found at Walgreens from national brand toys and electronics to great stocking stuffers, plus all items for holiday entertaining needs from tasty treats to festive décor. Walgreens has all of these holiday solutions with the benefit of an easy shopping experience in store, online and via mobile.

In mid-December, Walgreens will roll out a third holiday platform highlighting its offering of quality and unique photo gifts to include canvas prints and photo books that can be ordered online with same day pick up service. Customers also have the option to order their prints via the Walgreens mobile app for same day pick up service.

All creative will run nationally through 2012 and is part of the new “At the Corner of Happy & Healthy” campaign that launched this summer.
