New Work: Walgreens Loyalty

Walgreens and GSD&M recently rolled out new enhancements to Walgreens’ Balance Rewards loyalty program by rewarding customers for their healthy actions – the first of its kind in the category. People will not only get 500 rewards points when they refill prescriptions or get immunizations, but they will also earn 20 points for every mile they walk or run as well as every time they log their weight on Walgreens.com/balance. The site will even sync with existing devices like FitBit, BodyMedia, and Withings to make it easy to earn points on these activities. Creative assets include TV, rich media and standard flash banners, national/local radio and a partnership with Alison Sweeney in which she’ll discuss ways to get, stay and live well.
